About me
Rowena Bell
PG Dip. Psych, UKCP, FPC

Supporting mental health and emotional wellbeing has been my passion for many years.

I qualified as a therapist in 2010 after a five year training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at WPF Therapy, one of the UK’s top training institutions accredited by the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).

Over the years, I have worked extensively with a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, addiction and bereavement.

I also have a particular interest in working with early attachment trauma and subsequent relationship problems. Connection and the quality of our relationships are proven key factors in our emotional and mental health. I believe that understanding the way our previous experience has shaped our relational patterns is crucial to our wellbeing and quality of life.

These patterns do commonly show up in romantic relationship. However, I offer support to work through ongoing difficulties in any relationship dynamic, including family members, friends and colleagues.

To develop this specialism, I have built on my original studies and undertaken additional training in relationship problems and couple dynamics (accredited by CORST).

I have also completed a training in specialist psychotherapy for those who have attended boarding school (The Un-Making of Them, PG Dip). If this is of particular interest to you, please let me know when you get in touch.
